Parental Responsibility

Membership of the Parents Association

Parents automatically become full members of the Parents' Association from the moment that their children are accepted as pupils of the Polish School.

One of the main responsibilities is attendance and participation in the Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting is the most important event in the school year. All decisions concerning the organisation of the school are made here, so attendance is compulsory.

School Rules

Parents have the duty to ensure  their children are familiar with the school rules. By registering their children as pupils at the Polish School parents accept the School Rules and promise to help their children adhere to them.

Duties

A rota is prepared of parents who supervise children during break times; the teachers usually have short meetings during this time. This supervisory duty lasts from 11.00 am - 11.30am to ensure the safety of the children on the school playing fields. There is also a rota of parents who help in the coffee shop.

Rules of Greig City Academy

The English school does not permit smoking on the school premises, either in the buildings or outside.

The school has allowed us to use the car park off Hillside Avenue.

Polish Language Lessons

The co-operation of parents, teachers and school organisers is essential in order to attain maximum success in learning. Saturday activities are not sufficient in themselves. It is up to the children to practice speaking Polish, to read Polish literature, and to fully complete their homework.
